Well Pump Repair Update

September 25, 2026 - UPDATE

The Cobble Hill Improvement District wishes to advise customers that repair work on the well pump is scheduled to begin on September 29. Replacement parts have been ordered, and while timelines may shift as work progresses, the Operator is hopeful that repairs can be completed by the end of next week (October 2).

We will continue to keep customers updated as soon as the ordered components arrive and as the repair schedule is confirmed.

 

The District thanks all customers for their patience and for their continued water‑conservation efforts during this period.

 

Temporary Water Conservation Measures – Effective Immediately

September 23, 2026

Water use should be reduced to help maintain system capacity while mechanical repairs are underway on the District’s primary well. The remaining wells are meeting demand, but conservation is needed to reduce strain on the system during this temporary repair period.

Outdoor Water Use - Reduce Where Possible

  • Lawn watering is not permitted. All sprinklers, fixed irrigation systems, and automatic timers must remain off.

  • Outdoor watering is limited to essential garden care only. Residents may use hand‑held hoses or drip/micro‑irrigation to water food gardens and ornamental plants.

  • Necessary watering must take place during low‑evaporation hours.

  • No pressure washing, vehicle washing, or boat washing.

  • No filling or topping up pools, hot tubs, ponds, or decorative water features.

 

Indoor Water Use – Reduce Where Possible

Residents are asked to limit indoor water use to essential needs only:

  • Shorter showers

  • Reduced laundry loads

  • Limited dishwasher use

  • Avoid unnecessary flushing

  • Delay non‑essential water use
     

Essential household use (drinking, cooking, sanitation, basic hygiene) remains permitted.

Reason for Restrictions

Restrictions are in place due to reduced water production.
